How much is the rear diff fluid change?
I just want to get an average on what people are paying for the first service. Thanks

Even if you use GM oil its less than $25.00 with the additive they say you don't need because its in the oil. easy to do yourself plus you get to know your car

Pull your baby into the garage so the rear tires just make it onto the concrete. The little lip from driveway to garage gives you enough height to get in there. The rear differential is the big ball looking thing square in the center of the rear axle.

i dont think ive ever had the rear diff changed i have 17xxx miles how often does it need to be changed

You should change it once after the car is broke in. It lets you get the metal shavings out.

People are saying it's smoother...
Personally, for my first Diff Fluid change, I'm going with the GM recommended. I might go into something else later on... Hearing Amsoil and Royal Purple are good oils for this. My first engine oil change was with mobil1, but now I've gone to using Castrol Edge.
