4.10 gears and full install kit
I have a new set of Richmond 4.10 gears, the older version, and a full install kit. Neither has been opened except to take the pics.
The reason I am selling these is because I am getting a differential with gears already installed and I don't need two sets. As far as I know, these will fit in a v6 manual trans differential as well. The white stuff on the ring and pinion is styrofoam. SOLD Think of it this way: These may be the "tainted" gears but if you buy this kit, along with some Jannetty billet caps you only have $670 in it. Still cheaper and stronger than the new 4.11s without the caps as the caps reduce/eliminate flex which is believed to be the cause of the failures. How many Jannetty rearends have you heard breaking? I haven't heard of any and the credit goes to Ted's expertise and some to the billet caps he sells. Last edited by blake-b; 03-08-2011 at 08:03 AM. Reason: Added pics |

when you say older model, were those the ones that kept breaking? I didnt follow that story to much because I didnt think these would fit on a v6 at the time...

These are the same part number as ones that broke while drag racing or on the way home from drag racing. there are members on here with the same ones who love them but they arent drag racing.

I doubt it because the manual v6 and the v8 have the same differential.

Yes it can not handle the kind of power Big Dog's car makes. Big Dog's car had over 750 RWHP on slicks. We tested it to see what it would take, 750 RWHP, Slicks, ZR1 Clutch and leaving at 5500 RPM. One 4.10 Ring and Pinion broke and a set of spider gears broke under those conditions. That's how we were able to rate our rear. We don't rate or recommend our rear at that power level. Anything over 650 RWHP should have a 9" inch it. |
