header install problem.

Hey guys I need some help. I'm installing my headers and the connection pipes are 3" and my borla catback x-pipe is 2.5". How do I marry them together? Is there a band clamp that will work with that kind of difference?

what kind of headers? ... ARH, Kooks, SW, LG, etc. make connection pipes. I am supprised that they didn't ask you what you were connecting them to before you bought them. The guys at ARH asked me several times to make sure before they sent them.

If you bought the cheap, knock-off ebay headers... then you are going to be spending some money trying to fix this problem. If this is the case, return them and get some real headers... but good luck finding a customer service department for a RMA #.

You need to specify 2.5" or 3" connection size when ordering. Exchange the cats with 2.5" ones.

Take them to an exhaust shop and have them expand the pipe a bit. They should only charge 10-15 bucks tops to do it. It takes 5 minutes.

Hmm, .5 inch stretch is not realistic. I'd exchange them for the right ones.

I would actually use a reducer 3 inch to 2.5 and have it welded.
