Catch can location

I am getting ready to purchase an RX catch can which, with 12000 miles on my car, I know I should have done it sooner. Anyway, can someone tell me which is the better location for the can, on the driver's side near the CAI or the other location on the passenger side near the fuse box. You need to state where you want to locate the can when purchasing so they can send the correct bracket.

Are there any add-ons that may conflict with the placement like my roto-fab CAI? I may do the ADM scoop and roto-fab water bottle relocation and not sure if these will dictate where I need to place the can. Also, is one location better than the other in terms of running the hoses to and from the can?

Thanks for your input!

I didn't know they started offering a driver's side options. I went with the passenger side. It doesn't conflict with anything. I would think the driver's side would be tighter since you have the air box over there.

I see you have the V8 so that might be different. But on the V6 nearly everyone puts theirs on the passenger side off the radiator bolt.

Mine (not the RX version) is mounted on the bottom side of where the stock CAI used to go next to the battery cable. Worked out pretty good as far as routing lines for the L99

Sorry the pics aren't any better...

Passenger side radiator bolt is a good spot as mentioned earlier. Based on what you said about the ADM scoop etc, passenger side makes the most sense,

I've seen that pic on another thread bmbbl be, very sharp. I was thinking the passenger side made more sense too, indeedss1, I just wanted to hear from others that have installed one on an L99 V-8 and which location looks the best without conflicting with any current and future mods. The passenger side has more void space to fill up which seems like it will look better there and may be easier to get to when draining.

Here is how I did mine. If you plan on a E-Force later this is the best place. Lots of room.

Thanks SC2150! That's what I wanted to see so I could compare the different locations even if they all aren't the V-8. Are you still running behind on your catch can orders. I'm looking at ordering a gloss black one with breather.
