Sorry if I were to take a guess and I repeat guess I would say the flowmaster would be louder but the tones somewhat close.

I got the American Thunder installed about a month ago I have heard both and not to be rude to anyone that has the MRT but it sounds kind of Ricey but the ones I have heard do not have the Cold air intake which is supossed to make it throatier and the guy at the dealership that installed my american thunder said they are both nice but we have allot of ricers out here so the mrt he said is nice sounding but can sound like a ricer just my 2 cents

loving my flowmaster, sounds awesome... with the injen powerflow sounds perfect! cant wait to throw my DT shorties on and see what it sounds like.

BTW get alota compliments on the sound of the FM AMT -- say its got that v8 grumble down low but cause its a v6 its raspyness comes out up top, love it though!!

IMO that depends on if they have the MRT 1.0 or the 2.0. I'm not a fan of the MRT 1.0....it's a little too "harsh" for me...but the 2.0 is on point, especially when paired with it Injen CAI. Has a smooth, consistent sound at idle and WOT.

Every MRT I have heard, with and without an intake sounds very nice, not "Ricey". I've put Flowmasters on every ride I've had, always loved it. That includes a 4.2L V6 F150 and a V6 Mustang. Every LLT engine I've heard with the AMT sounds hollow at WOT to me, and does have that raspyness you mentioned. I haven't heard that with the MRT 2.0.

Victoryred69, I would love to hear your AMT with the Injen CAI!

Bottom line is they are both nice and I don't see how you could go wrong with either, but the MRT 2.0 gets my vote.
