Vararam installed = custom upper radiator bracket

SOOOO after I got the Vararam installed, I didn't like the look of the long bolts.. and I am not a fan of just leaving the radiator top floating...

So I made up my own brackets and reused the rubber/plastic shock absorbers from the factory brackets. It makes use of the stock bolts and the stock mounting location.

Just have to make the passenger side now and paint them.

Pictures...

Looks good. How much would u charge to make me a set? Hell, sell the design to vararam. I was picturing something exactly like this but don't have the tools or desire to make them myself.

This would stop me popping the hood and checking to see if the gromits came loose every day.

Thanks I love the setup as well, the engineer in me loves the simplicity and common sense solution to getting the coldest air to the throttle body.

Haven’t even considered making these for sale. I would have to look into it, you know… cost benefit analysis, materials, payment, ect…

Understood, if you get the itch to make another set let me know. I was walking around home depot today trying to find something I could make into a bracket.

Could you trace it onto a peice of paper so others could duplicate, I dont have a welder but have access to someone that is a excellent welder and I could just take your drawing and have my own made. I'm currently in Afghanistan and looking at a Varam intake and revolution flip hood kit.

Outstanding. That is the best bracket setup I've seen so far. No offense to the others before you that have done some nice creative options as well.

OP - May I assume your Vararam is really new? The reason I ask is I see something different that the rest of ours. On yours there is virtually no gap between the two halves of the of the intake housings.

Paul - You know where I'm going with this?

What gap are you guys talking about? I'm not at home but maybe I should inspect mine and take pics to see if it's different. I just got it last week and haven't installed it yet

I might be mistaken, but from your picture in original post it does not look like you are using the heat mat between the intake and radiator.

I don't think anyone mentioned any gaps. These are brackets to help keep the radiator secured.
