MRT V2 with Resonated X Pipe

Does anybody have the MRT V2 with a resonated x pipe installed? I'd like to hear a sound clip of this setup and I haven't been able to find anything.

I'm leaning towards the MRT V2, but it sounds like it might be a bid loud for my taste. I think the resonated x pipe might put it right where I want it to be, but I'd like to hear it.

Also, if anyone near Pittsburgh has the MRT installed, I'd love to hear it in person.

Yeah I've looked through that thread, searched the site, search YouTube, and searched Google. I haven't been able to find this setup.

Only people that have used resonated x-pipes are the ones who wanted freer flow with the longtubes and reduce the rasp caused by a regular x-pipe at the same time.

If you think its too loud, I would look into flowmasters or magnaflow exhausts. Because I don't think adding a resonated x-pipe will make it less loud, it just changes the sound effect to a more muffled tone. But I don't think volume is going to go down.

Member BlackBee has this setup, but with Doug Thorley shorty headers. He may be able to get you some help, but with the headers his would sound slightly different than with out...a tad bit more aggresive but not much.

I dont know how much help I can be as I have the Injen long tube intake, D/T shortie headers and mrtv2 so the sound is louder. If you go on youtube or the exhaust sticky and listen to Scrming's vid of his car going up and down his street(the one with snow on the ground) with headers and mrtv2, my car sounds like that but mellowed down a bit at those low speeds/rpms with the res x pipe. The res x mellows a bit, deepens and smoothens the sound, not as high pitched anymore. But I will say that the mrtv2 is alot louder then the magnaflow mufflers I had with the same setup.I had to put the stock resonators back in due to the drone and loudness of the mrts.

Actually I put my magnaflow exhaust on first and then added the resonated x-pipe in place of stock resonators. I almost removed it because it did quiet it down a bit and I thought it was too much, but when I listened to the take off the hint of rasp that was there before was gone. So I sucked it up because I knew I wanted headers which I am putting on in a week or two.

This is similar to how I feel. I'd like a bit more loudness and rumble in my exhaust note, but I don't want to change because I do like the tone a lot and down the road I'm seriously contemplating BBK LTs and I know this is what I'd want to run with LTs.

Maybe in the meantime I should just remove the stock resonators and keep them for later?

Thanks for all the help guys. Seems like I can't find that exact setup, but I've got a few ideas on where I want to go with this now. Thanks!

I did that after I added the headers and it was more clear, deeper and louder but still o.k. On the road no difference, at least with my setup. Now with the MRT'S the resonators went back in.
