Once again, V6's power is pop culture phenomenom

I know I started a similar thread before, but this deserves another one.

So I'm done with my training sessions in downtown Sac, and I'm walking up 17th Street and I remote start my car, of course the 3 people standing outside their outside go "Nice!" They ask me if it's a V6 or a V8?

I told them it was a V6, and once again, one of them says, "Doesn't that thing have juice like an old school V8? Like 305 HP?!" I had to correct him, it was 312 hp.

GM, kudos on marketing this Camaro, people on the streets are fully aware that this Camaro, in any model/trim level, is a beast!

Hey the V6 gets nice numbers. I was messing around with some woman on the freeway with a modded V6 on Saturday. When her lane opened up she flew off in a quick hurry. Her car sounded pretty ballsy and the speed left me like "WTF just happened?!" I give props to the V6.

Dont let your V8 boys hear you pumpin' the tires on V6 Power!

Hahahah just kidding. Its nice to see this kind of respect from a fellow member with an SS. Camaro5 is a brother(sister)hood after all right?

I bought the SS as I was a little scared to pull the trigger on a sixXxer!

i consider my friends 700HP 350z a beast. or this other guy i know with a 850HP GTR. a beast. a 426HP 3800 pound car is not a beast.

but other than that yes GM did a good job with the engines.

Somebody in a V6 just made it into the 11's with minimal modifications. That's dam good. And give those street people some more credit- the 2010 V6 was rated at 304 HP initially. I can't remember if the rating was changed to 312 HP for the 2011's, or later in the year for 2010's.

The first number (304) was not certified. They just took the CTS rating and applied it to the Camaro even though testing demonstrated that the Camaro was faster. The second number (312) is a certified number.

Either way, it goes to show there isn't any such thing as a bad Camaro in this generation.
