Question for Manual Drivers.

Do you ever get tired of having a manual and not an automatic? I like stick shift but have never known how to drive one. Now I know the die hards will have nothing more than a stick but my question is for those that live in pretty big cities where you have some stop and go traffic.

With regular driving...the manual becomes automatic. Don't even really think about it. If you have a doubt...get the automatic.....manual drivers just know.

Never get tired of it! Only problem I have is people assume everything is an auto now and climb up your backside on a hill when you need to roll back a few inches before taking off. (You can do it without roll, but it's no fun that way!) Sometimes I just put on the e-brake and get out and tell them to back the @#$% up!

I was stationed in San Diego, where I bought my Camaro before coming to this tiny place in Virginia...

Being 20 has nothing to do with whether you will like a stick or not. Have you ever owned a stick shift car? Did you like it?

If you've never owned one then rent one for a weekend or try borrow a friends......it's definitely a love/hate kind of thing.

I live in Northern Virginia and commute through DC. I go 13.8 miles and it takes at least an hour each way. I drive a standard, yea it bugs me sometimes when I'm in traffic but when I get to hit the country roads I love it.

unless your on a hella steep incline, you should never roll with a stick. If you do, you havent been driving one long enough.

I dont have to deal w the traffic some of you probably do, but I cannot drive automatic. It just bores me. Standard is second nature.

My LS is a manual and I love it....but sometimes I miss the simplicity and ease of an auto...so much so that if I ever trade my LS in for another Camaro it will most likely be an auto.

This.

I used to live in San Diego, and would commute between Ocean Beach and Temecula 6 days a week in a 5 speed sporting a stage 2 clutch and MWR lightweight flywheel. Even though the traffic sucked. The absolute best part of my day was rowing through those gears at the end of a work day. My Camaro sports a 6 speed manual, and my next car will be a manual...Unless that car is a 67' Impala, that'll be an auto
