Installing Hurst Billet short throw tomorrow

My Hurst shifter came in yesterday! Im going to install it tomorrow. Im not that great at workin on cars but I have my pops help thank god..LOL. ANy tips or suggestions on the install? Thanks

Great! I have the same thing! The only thing I can say on the install is make sure you are carefull not to drop the little c clamps on the pin underneath! If you drop them they will probably land on the heat sheild and it'll be tough to find. Other than that piece of cake! Good luck!

I just installed my Barton yesterday. A friend has a lift so that made it a ton easier than trying it on jack stands. It was 90 minutes from pulling onto the lift and pulling out of his driveway.

One of the c-clips did pop off and land on the heat shield. We just removed the front two nuts on the shield and pulled down and the c-clip fell out.

I dont have the hurst, but I did find that removing the tunnel brace and the heat sheild gave you more room to mess around with it! And also make SURE you put the rubber boot on correctly, and make sure it is secure. Mine fell off and I had to get a new one because it ripped.
