Hi - we have 2010 RS/SS and yesterday we noticed it has a slight "whining" noise coming from the engine. It is like a subtle ringing in the ears. We thought it was fan but we turned it off and it still made the noise, and gets slightly louder with acceleration. Taking it to Missouri tomorrow so wonder if this is something serious? Anyone have this before?

Transmissions have tendency to make a whining noise too
Best advice take it to be looked at .

Must be your supercharger!!! Just kidding, have you listened near your altenator? They do have a slight whine due to it charging and will get "higher" as the engine rpm increases. Just a thought to check.

I get some major whining in the car but goes away when I leave the wife at home. Headers are coming soon to help drown it out.

I had a whining noise on mine that turned out to be the A/C compressor that was fixed under warranty. Simple check to see if it still does it with A/C off.
