Test drove a CTS-V today!!!!

Well I got to test drive the CTS-V coupe today. Here is the link to the one I drove:
http://www.crestnashville.com/Vehicl...-TN/1109674703
It only had 12 mi on it & they pulled it out of the showroom to let me drive it. I was shocked!!!!! She definately was SWEET! Nice interior for sure, but it felt cramped to me compared to the Camaro. It is very nice looking inside & out. But like another poster said, it felt more like a car for a "suit". I was wearing jeans & felt rather under dressed. I got to take it up the rim of the Nashville basin (a pretty long & steep hill), around a series of steep S-turns in the Ridge area, punched it pretty good on a straight stretch. It took the hill nicely, accellerating easily at only 2000rpm, cornered quite nicely, & rode like a dream. Don't get me wrong, it was really sweet, but I still love my Ruby better. You get a much different sort of smile from these 2 rides. I could buy 2 Rubys for that price & have lots of $ left over. I love the sexy, sporty lines of the Camaro MUCH better. I love the throw-you-back-in-your-seat kick you feel even in the V6 Camaro, better. I got the caddy up to about 98mph pretty darn fast & I'm sure if I had floored it, it would have given me that feeling, but it accellerates generally smoothly. I get that feeling easily with Ruby. Ruby sounds much better. CTS-V sounds like ,..well......a Cadillac. It sounded nice at start-up, but not so much driving. Clearly, I am more of a (okay lets not argue the terminology here) muscle car kind of a gal. Given the $ I'd get a ZL1 over the CTS-V. Now I know what I'd choose if I won the Onstar contest!

You have to let it have it when you go on a test drive, otherwise it is hard to compare. I just bought a 2010 CTS-V and I drove my Camaro back to back today and my LPE600 Camaro definitely has a little more snort and pulls more looks than the CTS-V but the V is such a great ride!! I can't wait to get the V to the road track next weekend and test her out

I got on it as much as I dared in Nashvile City limits. I was able to feel it's handling on the curvy roads too. Don't misunderstand, It is truly a sweet ride. If someone gave me one, I'd for sure take it. I just might end up after a bit trading it in on a ZL1. Just 2 different sorts of cars. I like the sporty muscular lines & responsiveness of the Camaro personally, better, that's all.

Uh, 98 is pretty much "getting on it" as far as my experience with police goes.

You're correct. I dared, quite a bit. It was a test drive & a rare one at that. The area I was in is not the most he most heavily patroled, but still a risk. After the guys at Crest Cadillac went to the trouble of pulling that $72,000+ car out of the showroom for me to test drive, I was going to give it a pretty good test. It only had 10 mi on the odometer so I did not want to burn rubber in it though, so I did not floor it. That is all I meant. Just respecting the vehicle a bit. BTW, I do want to give the Crest guys cudos (I hope that is okay on this forum), they were very good to me & I had a blast. I would buy frrom them in a heartbeat if I was actually going to trade, which for now, I am not.
