Does anyone have a sound clip of this exhaust?

Thanks!! I really like Flowmasters but I've been reading that stuff about the FM AT Catback robbing power... So I'm kind of afraid to pull the trigger, plus I'm not sure it will be loud enough. But, from the looks of the outlaw series I think it will be perferct for what I want..

Outlaw or the new Pro series mufflers won't rob you of power. I have the pro series and it's pretty much straight through performace. I believe the outlaw is straight through as well.
What really robs you of power is your cats and 2.5" piping. http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/a.../Hushpower.jpg The image above is the pro series muffler. outlaw is just like the dynomax bullet muffler I think. Couldn't find any videos showing John's car, but send him a pm. I'm sure he can take one for you. |

Do you think I would gain a fair amount of throttle resoponse and power if I did the axleback Flowmaster outlaw system, and High Flow cats. nd do you think it would be pretty loud?

It would be noticeably louder than the stock setup. The cats are what will increase the volume more than the muffler. I would say it's still tolerable. Talk to Ronin. He's got the JBA hi flows with a magnaflow axleback. I know he loves it, and he's in CA where they're super strict about db levels.
John's car isn't too loud (Buffnshine), but it sounds like a beast. |

Just saw this thread and thanks J. I wil try and get a sound clip. My car is on the Flowmaster PowerTV clip with both the Hushpower and AT Cat Back. It was not loud enough for me so I worked with them at SEMA this past year and we came up with this series which is now being sold for the Camaro as well as the Challenger and Mustang. It has a very nice throaty idol but sounds very aggressive at WOT. I have had no complaints for noise by anyone including LE. And no power loss. I am still planning on adding Long Tubes and High Flow Cats as well.

Put 1 chambers on it, I removed my resonators and installed 1 chambers before I had headers. It sounded pretty damn good, now I have LT's and no cats and it sounds like an old school big block.... and its LOUD!

1 chamber flowmaster race mufflers. The car is even better now with the cold air, its more bass in person then the video though. Drone in 6th gear is bad if thats a concern, it dont bother me though. Drone without the headers was nothing, the cold air made it drone more. This exhaust is not for girly men, let me tell you LOL
