Crazy impulse...traded for a Vette!

Being bored yesterday (Sat.) I took a ride with my 2 month old Camaro SS to a large Chevy dealer about 40 miles away from home. I had every intention of just looking around the dealerships lot at the various Camaro's and Corvette's that they had in their inventory. A salesman approaches me and asks if he could help. I strictly state that I am just looking to kill some time. So I am looking at a new Z06 Corvette that lists for over 83K and he asks me if I would like to drive it. Sure I said, have never driven a C6 Z before. Anyway I drive the car (which is amazing) but tell him that it is way too rich for my blood. I then notice a new triple black left over 2010 Corvette convertible 6 spd man. 3LT pkg, chrome wheels and dual mode exhaust. Long story short....traded the Camaro and drove the Vette home. Now I am sorry because of this huge expense and am going to visit the dealership to try and back out of the deal. Have a signed contract but it is still at the dealership. I have a huge buyers remorse. Wish me luck!

You got three days to back out in my state. Maybe it's that way where you live. Don't waste anytime if you really want to back out.

I had a similar event, stopped by the dealer I bought the Camaro at to check with the GM there about ordering a ZL1, and saw a 2010 Corvette Convertible there and briefly thought about buying, they wanted to give me a great price and good value on the trade, 0% financing for 72 months. Very Tempting, I mean would never get a better deal, but just couldn't trade my Camaro unless it was the ZL1. Hope it works out, here in California, no cooling off period. Good luck.

DO NOT, repeat, do not drive it off the lot!! Unless I'm mistaken, until you drive it off the lot, and have taken possession, it is not a done deal.

Edit: Disregard, just reread and saw where you said you drove the vet home.

This may be a done deal in this case. I been doing some research and it looks like that unless your state has a cooling off period that your pretty much at the mercy of the dealer.
Good luck.

You signed a contract, I wish you luck but I am not optimistic.
Let us know how it goes.

Wow dude, next time you're bored... go mow the grass or go to the beach. Stay away from dealerships.
