MRT Version 2.0 mixup?

Hey Guys,

Long time lurker, and finally have a reason to post.

Let me begin by introducing myself, I live in San Antonio, Tx and have had a 2010 2LT / RS Camaro with Injen CAI since around June of 2010.

I recently ordered a new exhaust and had plans of installing it today, I ordered the MRT axle-back Version 2.0 from MRT-Direct.com

It showed up on Friday and I've been really excited about having time this afternoon to get it installed, but I started examining it, and I'm pretty darn sure they sent me to version 1.0 instead of the 2.0 - LAME!!

Anyways, I was curious if anyone else has had any issues like this, or maybe you just ordered a 1.0 and received my 2.0

Just in the case I'm wrong, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask the pros, here are the pics, the size of the resonators was a dead give away for me. These are perfectly circular and resemble the V 1.0

Judging off the website, and the many of your installs which I have seen already (props by the way) I was expecting something more like this, note the oval shaped resonators:

Thanks!

-Chad

That sucks dude...crap happens and unfortunenly you were the "lucky" one this time. Sure looks like version 1 to me.

Call them up, explain what happened. Ask if they will cover your costs to ship back, and then comes the waiting game again.

Those are V1's for sure. V1's say "Aero" on the mufflers, while V2's are completely blank.

Correct. Those are V1. Should have no problem getting this straightened out other than the loss of time waiting again.

Yup...V1.

I like my V1 and couldn't be happier

If you decide to keep them, they are cheaper than the V2's!!! You'd get a little $$$ back.

Yep... it happens... since his invoice clearly says Ver 2.0, MRT should pick up the shipping costs. Sorry this had to happen...

Yeah, they were pretty reasonable about it. As soon as they saw my return shipment hit UPS, they were able to send out the correct version.

They will be here tomorrow though, so I'm excited to finally get them on!

Yea those are V1's you can tell by the size and the tips. The V2 tips look like cut metal compared to the V1 tip that look like aftermarket tips. I compared my V1 to a Club member who has the V2.
