Anyone having problems with Continental DWS tires ?

I have read in other forums that people are complaining that the Continental DWS tire sidewalls are very weak and will develop sidewall bulges very easily or have more blowouts than other tires. Anyone have any experience with the durability of the Continental DWS tires ?

No problems at all. I have put about 31,000 miles on my Conti. DWS's over the past 1 1/2 years, and they still have a decent amount of tread left.

I'm still trying to buy a set for my SS. Still not available per Continental.

Thanks to those that have provided feedback. I am considering getting a set of the Continental DWS tires as I have heard they do really well in snow but wanted to see how others liked them and how durable they are before I pull the trigger on the purchase.

From my understanding the narrower 245 width tires are better in the snow on the rear than the 275 width and I am in Minnesota where we get a decent amount of snow so I plan on getting 245-45-20 on all 4 corners. Both Tirerack and Discount Tire have the 245-45-20 Continetnal DWS in that size.

Bru ha! ha!, I had that from Tirerack for my front tires and when I got a puncture on the side that made the tire unable to be patched, the company that handles the road hazard program told me to get it repaired and they will refund me the amount of the repair only, not give me a new tire. So screw that.

My Conti's were very good tires. They need replaced, but I got 40,000 miles on them, and the front's could handle another 10,000 miles or so. The rears, on the other hand ...
