The 2012 Camaro Color Palette was released and Crystal Red was NOT there to replace Red Jewel. Crystal Red is not on constraint with the Corvette models. Can anyone advise if Crystal Red will be available for the ZL1, ordering is only 6 weeks away? From the CorvetteBlog:

As always, CorvetteBlog has the latest ordering constraint information for new 2012 Corvettes.

First, the really great news: 89U Crystal Red Metallic is no longer constrained. We can get all we need! Get those orders in now.

The following options continue to be unavailable, pending engineering validation, and are not expected to be available until greater than four weeks:

2LT with Z15 Grand Sport Heritage Package
2LT with 0B1 Embroidered Crossed Flags

Orders made this week have a Target Production Week of September 26.

I was wondering the same thing, my wife likes the red color, and I'm on the fence between the current red and the white. Hopefully they well let
us know before ordering time, plus perhaps a nice lighter blue for the ZL1
only.

This is just a guess ,but like other special models I would be willing to bet that they will offer some special colors on the ZL1. I don't know what colors ,but it won't be long until we will be able to see.

I was wondering the same thing with regard to Crystal Red Tintcoat, as that is the color that I will order if it is available, since I already own silver, white, orange, and black vehicles, and I don't like yellow or gray, and I don't think that IBM is a good color for contrast against the black carbon fiber hood insert.

really hoping they add Crystal Red to the color line-up for all Camaros, but definitely for the ZL1. I love that color and would order it in a heartbeat. Without it or CGM in the lineup, I honestly don't know what color I would order if I had to choose.

Crystal Red will (should) be available at the end of this calendar year. The reason was not given (or asked...my apologies on that part). When that happens, I'm sure the ZL1 will be available in that color, too.

I find it a little more "maroon" in the shade, than that picture shows...

Dragoneye, why do think it will be available by the end of the year if it is not available now?

It wasn't something I felt worth blasting across the homepage...but I made a point to ask due to repeated questions, so we could answer them for you all.
