uhhh....did the light go from Green to Red? Ive had many encounters with a yellow light about to turn red and went for it if the alternative meant putting the trunk of my car up my ass but in most cases I can brake safely...especially in a Camaro. The brakes on this car are unbeatable.
If your light turned red and someone nailed you in the intersection someone jumped the gun or someone ran a red light.

thats LA for you...ive gotten into an accident, and to avoid getting side swiped, scraped my rim...youll be fine, they should total it, don't beat your self up over it

I know it sucks though because I've had no accidents for 7 years of driving in L.A. and I guess now its true that your not a true Californian until you've gotten rear-ended or sideswiped :/

like i said, don't worry about it, tonight to avoid another sideswipe, i get rewarded with a scraped rim. But i always look at the upside to it, I'm getting my rims power coated much faster now....your bright side, you get a brand new 2ss and get to start over...dont sweat it. you'll be fine...thats what insurance is for

Yeah I know I'm trying to look at the upside and yeah I thought about upgrading to a 2SS as long as they total my car which they should. If they want to repair it can I say that I won't accept the car knowing that my axle was broken or bent pretty bad?

For the other driver to hit you at 55-60, she must have been ignoring the red light, can't imagine, especially when you say it's a small intersection, she'd be able to get up to 60 from standstill in a few feet?

Why do you have to wait 14 days to have it looked at. Take it to whatever bodyshop you want and get it fixed or whatever. Most Ins co. have PREFERED bodyshops where you can take it and they do and estimate and also determine totaled or not without having to wait for and adjuster to come out and look at it.

Yea, agree with you. Either it was red when you entered the intersection, or the other person was blowing thru. I would love to know how the Buggati Veryon looks...thats about the only car I can think could go from 0-55 in 2-3 seconds in an intersection from a dead stop....or you ran the red light.

The story makes no sense. And this is nowhere near the worst that could happen. You're lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse. Who was at fault on the police report?
