Outlaw axle back installation

Hey fellas (and fella'ettes)- I've got my axle back in my garage and the tools to borrow should be available soon. Question is- should I do it myself or pay someone to do something that looks so easy? Basically measure 9.5" from the tip of the hanger forward, cut, remove muffler, put new one on, straighten tips, and clamp it tight. Sounds simple... but is it?

I've done lots of DIY stuff, nothing too major. I've installed suspension with help installed blow-off valves, cold air intakes etc- not the same- but I've completely disassembled a netbook every piece and put it back together. I'm handy enough to do things on my own, but this is kinda major since I need to cut the original pipe. Thoughts?

If I do it myself I'll do a DIY write up with photos and descriptions of what to do to make it easier, or anything people may run into during their install...

I wouldn't call it major if you have all the tools needed. Basically you need a sawzaw with a blade that cuts metal (stainless steel) and some jack stands. The rest is just wrenching. I say go for it.

Measure twice, cut once.
The exhaust tube cutter from Autozone/Oreilly/Advanced is a loaner tool(you pay up front and get refunded upon return) and cuts it simple and straight.
