Painted Stereo?

Has anyone done anything with there Stereo Face? I seen the stuff from Car id but it don't like the bubble sticker effect.
Nor do I like the Metra kits and the like.

I would like to have a black face but don't know how to keep the indicators on the face from being covered? Any body done something cool with theirs?

the bubble sticker effect is actually nice quality, especially for the radio so it can cover the black glass area on the top.
