Thumbs down Forgestar= non existent customer service

So here's the deal, about a month ago one of my powder coated forgestar F14's was damaged by a brake fluid leak. I contacted the C5 vendor that sold me the wheels (10/6) and asked for some assistance with the repair. It was my intention to get the powder code and have the wheel coated locally. After that was unsuccessful, I asked the vendor for direct contact information for forgestar.

I then emailed Steve Lin at forgestar and informed him of my situation. Three days later he responds to my email stating "what exactly are you trying to do". My reason for emailing was explained fully in my message. I then emailed again about the wheel damage. Steve responded and asked for pictures of the damage. I got those photos sent to him the same day of his email response.

Steve has vanished. He has stopped returning emails. I put in a few calls and left voicemails...nothing.
Forgestar, we have the option of going with a cheaper Chineese cast wheel for less money. I pay a premium for your product I do not expect cheap cast wheel costumer service.
Allot of C5 members are using your wheels. I have 2 sets myself. I will not purchase another. Ever hear of support after the sale?

As you said ;;;;;; you paid premium for a premium wheel , and got cheap service from a cheap chinese manuf/ , well the way i see it , you didn't get any service for your premium money/wheels , you got to call some one up the food chain , and be very polite with him/her , goes a long way and would not putt them on the defense .

Honestly I don't think that would help. It's the attitude of their business. I did a google search and the general theme is forgestar is the absolute worst in terms of getting you your wheels and service in general.

Let me know what options you come up with. Some dumb@ss at the car wash put some chrome brightener on mine. Didn't notice at first. To late to complain.

I agree, on the product side. You wait forever to get your wheels from them. Seems like if you ever have an issue your in the wind.

It's never too late!...It looks like a re-coat of all four wheels. The local PC place tried to match the wheels but couldn't.

Honestly a good powder coater should be able to get really close on the color.

Dude could be busy as heck. I've had PM's that I've read, meant to respond to, and forgotten about them until weeks later when they complain back to me. He could have just forgotten.

Shoot another email to him and see if there's anyone else you can talk to.

This is just a reminder for everyone, but most vendors are out at SEMA and have been preparing for it for the past two weeks. I see it every year. Customer service problems arise because vendors can't answer during this busy time. You'll probably find it hard to contact anyone until December.

Hey Forgestar is right next to my work! And i know Steve personally! Great guy but idk why he wouldnt reply to ur e-mails or calls.!!! Forgestar is owned by IForged which also owns Intro wheels. I can give u any other information u might need from them but im sure u might have all that already. Try to contact IForged. Same company and owner. I see the F14's every day as they are getting packaged. Nice wheels but not my style. I like something with a lip. Thet do make a great wheel tho! U should call them directly and talk to Steve or Peter!

I'm heading to SEMA. I'll look for them and see what they say. Hopefully they have some high grade degreaser up their sleeve that won't ruin the finish. Otherwise.. it's to the powdercoaters..

PM's are one thing but if you ran your business in that manner.

I understand the importance of SEMA, but there should be someone responsible on a CS level. Everyone isn't involved in preparation for SEMA. I could see a slowdown but not this.

Are paint/powder coat codes proprietary?
