gas pump nozzle "stopping" all the time while fueling; before the tank is even full.
I'm having a problem with the gas pump nozzle stop pumping gas while I'm pressing the handle... I have to force the pump nozzle inside the Camaro's fuel tank opening while holding the handle, and it's hard to keep it from stopping. I thought it was this particular gas station and it was just the pump nozzles there, but it happens everywhere... wondering if anyone have this problem...?

same issue with my car....really annoying...i always fill up at shell and occasionally at chevron

I used to be able to fill up my VW without holding the nozzle. Then one day it decided that it didn't like it and wouldn't even fill up that way ever again. Still don't know what is going on.

Try backing the nozzle out just a bit so its not completely flush. I haven't had any issues with my Camaro, but there is a hole on the nozzle of a gas pump, and when the gas reaches it and blocks the hole it stops the pump.
Sometimes when I get to a random pump (with any car) that keeps kicking off I just back it out a little. Not sure exactly why, maybe its the shape of the gas inlet and the location of the hole that is blocking it enough, or there is enough fluid to screw it up or something. That usually helps.

the only gas station where I don't have to jockey around with the pump is at QT. Everywhere else is a pain.

I've notice the problem to be more when the car is hot. Like at the end of theday after a long commute. Vapor lock type issue??

A solution was posted a long while ago. It will take some diggin to find the detials. Short answer - push in on the nosel until it "latches". Newer model cars hav a lip that catches a hook on the nozel that holds it in place.
I was really frustrted until I learned this.. now easy as it is ever was.
