Haha and yet another muffler delete question.
So what is eveyone doing exactly? Just deleting the rear mufflers? Deleting both the mufflers and resonators. Deleting H pipe as well and having completely straight pipes from cats on back? Adding X pipe? Just curious what everyone was doing and what would the sound differences are between H pipe, X pipe, or just straight all together?

I just cut the mufflers off and that was all I did. IMO it sounds great with just the muffler delete but so do all the other types of modification that you mentioned.

L99 or LS3? If its an auto you will have to tune the afm out so it doesnt go into 4cyl mode. If its an LS3 just remove the mufflers and install a magnaflow tru xpipe and you are good to go

I have a l99 and i did a resonator delete. At first i did not like it, but it has really grown on me. Its well worth the 200 bucks it cost and is great for a small mod that doesnt break the bank. The only things i dont like about it is that it is kind of irregular. To me it sounds great one day and the next not so great, but at WOT its always fun to hear the car scream. ADD a Cold Air Inductions CAI and youll like the scream it gives ya

I did the muffler delete the first couple couple days I brought my LS3 home. Not too loud, not too quiet, and probably the cheapest way to let the roar be heard.

Had a shop cut out mufflers and run pipe to the rear and used the factory tip again. Sounds great!

i have an ls3. cut out the mufflers, installed an x pipe, removed the resonators, put on high flow kats and long tube headers. the thing sounds like tractor trailer (not in an obnoxious way). you definitely get some drone but it's easily avoided by changing your cruising RPM.
i love my set up and would recommend it |

As long as you leave the OEM cats on there, you can eliminate everything aft, and I promise it won't be too loud. You might want to throw an x-pipe in there where the resonator (L99) or resonators (LS3) were, although an h-pipe will give it more of a good old-fashioned muscle car rumble.
