My Camaro Forgets The Date Every January

So this is the third winter I've had my car. And this is the third winter in which my car has randomly forgotten the date.

That pic was taken today, January 5th.
The first year, it happened later in the month, I got my car in late January 2010. When I got back form february vacation, the date was almost a full month off.

What is with this car? Why can it never remember the date through Winter? My car has never had a dead battery, never been jumped etc. The only time I've disconnected the battery was while installing a trailer hitch back in summer.

The reason this matters to me is that I have to log my milage for business so I look at the date and write it down in my book every single time I get in the car.

Also I'm pretty sure I started a thread about this last year or the year before, but I couldn't find it.

If you store the car there is a second battery for the radio to use that feeds this part of your car, if its off for to long of a time or that battery will not hold a charge then this is your problem.

How can I check this second battery? I haven't stored my car yet. I've been driving every few days at least.
