Speculation as to delivery delays

So I certainly don't have all the facts, but I believe the first preorders that went through the system had to be "reflashed", so that is why they are taking longer, while later orders are starting to arrive at the intended dealerships, as they were produced without error. However, does anyone think it's possible GM is doing something special for that first lot of cars, for those folks...and that could be adding to the hold up???

Hold up reasons: brake caliper weights on all cars, ecu reflash from earlier, thats what i gather from recent information, i could be wrong.

I absolutely don't dispute the issues that have arisen...I'm just wondering if something else (a good something) could be also adding to the delays.

uhhh, no. as nice as it might be for GM to do that, i SERIOUSLY doubt that them putting TRM and some others here and on 5thGen thru hell would be justified by doing something "nice".

the 1st 750 - 1000 VINS all had 1st production snaffus and errors. i heard there were like 4 or 5 different issues needing to be resolved. now that later VINS are being delivered, i'm sure all those early VINS will be at the dealers soon.

By the way the first run of C5 Corvettes sat at the factory for a long time waiting on things including an ECU re-flash. This isn't out of the ordinary for the start of a new vehicle. (Source: "All Corvettes are Red" - If you haven't read it, you should)

Exactly. I think they sat there for a full month or so before all the issues were resolved.
