Removal of MAF Sensor help

Hey guys, sounds like a newbie question but I cannot for the life of me get the harness off of the MAF in order to get my screw driver in there to take the actual sensor out. Any tips before I snap this thing off?

Are you just yanking on it or are you releasing the tab first? You have to release the tab to unlock it before pulling it off.

The tab is on top, even after it is released it can still be a good tug to get it off the first time or two. Just make sure the top tab is released.

It also helps to push in and then pull out.

you should have plenty of room to get to the to screws to remove the MAF after you unhook the harness. Or did you get the screws out and the MAF sensor still wont come out?

What are you doing? Installing a Cold air intake? Usually if it is stuck is because it is cold, if you can get it in a garage and let it warm up or use a hair dryer to warm it up and it will come off pretty easily. Don't break it, they aren't cheap to replace.

When you say white tabs you are trying to disconnect it in the wrong place, you need to be pulling the tab on the end at the top of the harness clip not where the wires go into the clip itself. White is what holds the actual wires into the clip so you are off by about an inch to the actual clip!

Look at the pictures it is pretty self explanatory. Sorry about the child's art work. But 2010 the clip is purple, 2011 it is white where you say you are trying to disconnect? Don't disconnect there, disconnect at the tab, wiggle it and it should come out not break at all! You are obviously doing something wrong here it just doesn't make sense?
