Hi Flow cats to go with Borla Atak Exhaust?

Hey guys I have Borla Atak exhaust, anybody else add hi flow cats with the Borla Atak? If so which ones sound good with the Atak setup? Does Borla recommend a Hi flow cat... Also any of you with Atak and Hi flows have video? Thanks guys

Chase with Apex, I am really trying to slow down with all my modifications. Then you post this video of the exact setup that I want! Solo HF Cats and Borla Atak. Feel like splurging some money right now. Wife won't be happy. I guess I could always drone her out with a new exhaust system right?

To me the Atak with LT's or high flow cats sounds terrible. Better to have the S-type.

Same applies to high flow cats alone. They really increase the exhaust flow, which brings out unpleasesnt qualities in the Atak IMO. Remember this exhaust was specifically designed for the stock manifolds and mids. I recommend the S-type if you are going to go headers or high flow cats.

The S-type and Touring exhaust are too quiet for me. I love that deep raspy and gurgling sound. I even like the popping sounds and the video/audio clip provided by Apex is exactly what I want. I have been looking at exhaust system that I want for about 5 months now. I have decided that I want Solo HF Cats, but was between Solo Mach XL or Borla Atak. To me that Atak sounds a bit more growlier than Solo which is what I am looking for. I am not worried about drone since I only put about 1500 to 2000 miles on this car a year.

The ATAK drones less than Borla's other two offerings.

Still, if I were you I'd try to hear these in person before making a decision. Internet videos are not going to give you any kind of remotely accurate impression of real world sound. I've yet to hear a video of exhaust actually sound like it does in person.

I just finished installing Texas Speed long tubes with high flow cats and I have the Borla S set up. Sounds good I guess. The sound completely changed after the header install. Im still getting use to it and making sure I have no leaks at the collector. The sound of the headers from the side of the car bothers me a bit and it makes me feel like I may have a leak even though Im 99% sure I dont because everything was checked twice.

Im probably going to look at options to see if I can change the exhaust note any by using different mufflers. It may just take some time getting use to.

Mine does this as well. No leaks, but valve train noise is considerably louder. In fact, unless my car is backed up against a wall where the exhaust can reflect, the valve train noise is the loudest part of my idle (I know, needs a cam). I also hear it reflecting off of concrete dividers when the windows are down. Give it some time to get used to. Oh, and after a while you will notice the "whoosh" of exhaust gasses in the primaries at low speeds/rpms/radio volume. It's all part of the deal with headers.
