I'm first on the list at my small town dealer, they have 3 allocations. Just heard from my dealer, the car's produced and currently in QC. In my excitement I forgot to ask him for the VIN#. He said he could probably give an ETA on Friday, I'll ask him more questions then. I just wanted to let you other small-town guys that the cars for us are moving too!

Ordered October 14th, they put it in on Oct. 15th. Ordered from Bill Walsh Auto Group in Ottawa IL. They asked for MSRP, willing to take GMS pricing when I bring in the company code. That's in writing. They've been very good to me, I've got no complaints (other than being anxious to get my car). No hassle at all to update to IBM when they opened it up on the V-8's, no problem removing the hurst when it went on constraint.

Thanks for the info- I live in Ottawa, IL and Bill Walsh wouldn't order a car for me. I was in there on 10/13 at about 1:30PM.

I too ordered from a small dealer in OH and am thier second car. Thier first was built like 2 weeks ago or so, and mine is scheduled next week.

I am #1 in a 3 allocation dealer as well (pulled 3/19), and I was told that this should be my build week. I'm hoping for the same call today or tomorrow.

Why not? Granted, I have a excellent credit rating, this is my second car with him and my parents live close to the owner (I grew up in Ottawa), but I would be surpised they didn't want to ring the register.

Mine was produced yesterday and is #6125. Maybe they're brothers from another mother!!

The story the sales manager told me was that the preorder process was just market research (which it was). I was also told that my chances of getting a 2SS car were slim because only about 30% of Camaros would be built this way. Therefore, to not burst my bubble, they weren't ordering anyone a car because they did not want to develop a bad reputation when they couldn't produce my order. He also stated that in the Camaro website it says in the fine print that ordering does not guarantee production of said vehicle. I told him that I'd take the chance and he still wouldn't order me one, so he put my name on the list of people to fight for the lot cars.
Sorry for the rant and I'm glad you're getting your car, but your post made me upset because I was forced to order my car elsewhere...
