How to Choose an Amp Install Kit?

I'm finally gonna have some time to install my stereo upgrade using ********'s FARK kit. The last item I need to buy prior to the install is an amp installation kit, but I have no idea what to buy.

How do you determine what fuse kit to use? I want to use the proper fuse in case there is an overload.

My amp is a JL XD700 5ch.

Thanks.

if you look here, they recommend a 4 guage kit.

when I bought my xd400 from them, luckily I got a free amp installation kit

I would suggest going to your local stereo store, and just buying the cable and fuse. the amp kits are pretty expensive, and with the battery in the truck you don't really need that much wire. I got all the stuff I needed to install my amp for like 10 bucks. just throwing it out there.

I used this kit from JL Audio for my XD700/5 with a 60Amp ANL fuse but that was definitely overkill. The one nice thing though was that the Fuseholder in the kit had it's mounting holes positioned such that I could mount it on the bracket in front of the battery without drilling any holes. Worked out to be a nice clean install. As Timmy35 said, however, you are probably better off buying just a fuseholder and some good quality 4GA wire. The XD700/5 requires a 60A fuse.
