SS or ZL1 Sways

Would either bolt directly up to a v6? Also how much difference would SS sways make because i know there are quite a few of those sets laying around in people garages lol and ZL1 are not quite readily available for cheap. So what do you guys think? Thanks.

FE4 rear lower control arms and even my stock 2012 SS sways F/R with drop springs would make your lighter V6 a happy camper.

New ZL1 sway bars are $110 and $115 each last time I checked online. Of course waiting for a set of tak-offs will be cheaper.

Keep in mind that unless you own a 2012+ car, the ZL1 sway bars will not bolt up to your rear lower control arms, you will need to upgrade those as well at the same time. The 10/11 SS bars will bolt up, but the 12+ SS/ZL1 bars will not work with the older 2010/11 control arms.

Here is a copy of our sway bar comparison chart, notice the small difference between the FE2 (V6) and FE3 (10/11 SS) bar packages... especially compared to an aftermarket bar. Unless you're getting the sway bars for free or EXTREMELY cheap they probably aren't worth the effort to have a shop install them.

Our sway bars will bolt up to your current control arms, or alternatively if you want to upgrade to the FE4/FE5 (2012+ SS/ZL1) rear lower control arms we will have a specific package that will work even better that's designed for those arms. For the needs of most street cars our current Sport Sway bars will work great, and offer a fixed front and adjustable rear bar.

Below is a copy of our sway bar comparison chart with the FE2/FE3 sway bar relative stiffnesses plotted against our bars. You will notice especially in the rear that our bars are MUCH stiffer, this is to restore a much more neutral handling balance to your Camaro. From the factory there is quite a bit of understeer, and by stiffening the rear bar you can dial out quite a bit of that. A more neutral car will result in a Camaro that's much more fun to drive on the street!

Yes ZL1 parts will bolt right on. You will also need to change you lower control arms for the new style rear bars. If I were you, I'd just wait for the 1LE. And add the sways from it. ZL1 is 25mm front and 28mm rear. 1LE is 27mm front and 28mm rear. The ZL1 bits are all on hold anyway so you cant get them.
