You have to build up the points but it isn't hard. I actually have 8k on the card but can only use 1000. That being said my 8k is all from company use.

It varies....I am encouraged to notice that there appear to be FAR more people buying at MSRP than at a dealer markup.

Most all Denver area dealers wanted $5K-10K over sticker on the 2012's since they knew the allocations were low. I'm not willing to pay over sticker, and it sounds like most won't be charging over sticker on 2013's as they will most likely have much higher allocations. I'm sure some of them are charging this cause they bought their allocation from the larger dealers.

There's 3 Chevy dealers here in Honolulu.
One wants $7k - $10k over MSRP. Another wants $20k over MSRP And the 3rd wants MSRP....guess where I'm going! However, everyone wants this MSRP price, so there's a list of names that will go into a bag for the single allocated ZL1 the dealer has coming in. I will not pay over MSRP, so if I can't get the 2012, I'll go for the 2013, and if I can't get that I'll get another vehicle...just not sure what yet. |

MSRP less $3400 GM points off using the Master Card World for Business Card. It's the card to have, No Limits on points.

Quote:
of the questions asked was when I thought I would be purchasing a GM car? Since I as hoping to get my ZL1 during the first quarter I put that down as my answer. What was a nice jesture on there part was to round up my points near then end of last year from like 870 up to 1,000 and then double it to 2,000 towards a new car purchase made by GM. The cut off date was I believe the end of February but that gave me the time span of 2 months pretty cool. The only problem was my car was not ready yet, and the deal excluded the ZL1 which I can fully understand. But if you were in the market for any other camaro that's a sweet deal. Perhaps in the MY 2013 this will be available for the ZL1 as well. I believe the most we can redeem is $1,000 max credit off the purchase price of our ZL1's at this time? Anyone know for sure? If we can go past that amount that would be good to know.

The normal redemption allowance on Camaro's is only $1000
https://www.gmcard.com/vehicles/chevrolet 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe Redemption Allowance: $1,000 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Redemption Allowance: $1,000 To my knowlodge the only way to get over that is with bonus earnings that Chevy gives out when they want to move the previous models out before the new ones start showing up. I wouldn't count on them having the bonus earnings on the 2013 ZL1. If so it wouldn't be until the 2014 MY and there would have to be an overstock of ZL1's on the dealer's lots, which I highly doubt would happen.
