This is the build thread for my 2012 Camaro 45th Anniversary SS Coupe, it was purchased with an M6 transmission and the hurst shifter (the only option). Overall, the goal for the build is to become one of the few 9 second Camaros here. To get there, I plan on using the Magnacharger TVS2300 with an LSX motor and a little nitrous . I will be keeping the clutch pedal for a bit, but a TH400 is already in the works. Here goes nothing!
I picked up the car on 1 June, 2012; here it is once I got it home! cars sounds good. You should post up the pics of your new wheels! So on a scale of 0-10 how much louder would you say the new exhaust is vs the stock one? Personally I am not looking for much louder but just "better" and headers with Magnaflow is up there on the list of options.

Here's my scale: 1 is stock, and 10 is a full on drag car. It's probably a Seven without a cam. And I'll post wheels pics right now!

more wheel pictures .... Just kidding, , but I would like to see some more pics though. I'm looking at the Modulare wheel myself. What's your impression going from the 20's to 22's?
So the headers and Magnaflow (and headers) exhaust really bumped up the sound levels? I heard the Magnaflow wasn't too loud. I want the power, but not all the noise. I was thinking magnaflow was the answer. |

Magnaflow is defintely the answer, just not the 3" center exit system. That system is currently the only 3" they have without mufflers. I will get better pics of the wheels soon too. Going to the 22s was different, and the ride isn't as solid. Can't say anything bad about Modulare, just didn't really want to spend 8k, but I liked them a lot!
Update: Ordered a Complete Suspension set up, will be installing within the next week! Eibach R2 External reservoir coilovers, Eibach Sways, BMR complete bushings, Lakewood subframe brace, Hotchkis strut tower brace, and Pfadt rear to and trailing arms! |
