Stock 2012 SS exhaust
Who manufactures the factory exhaust used on the 2012 LS3 SS? It sounds pretty good right from the factory. I had the Corsa Touring on my C5 Corvette. It was pricey for sure. The factory SS Camaro exhaust sounds good enough to me to just keep it the way it is.

Pretty sure the factory exhaust is made by Tenneco Automotive.

Come on guys, I'm torn between the Borla S and Corsa exhaust. Help me out here. I had Corsa on my C5 Corvette and was happy with it. I want to get the best bang for my buck for aftermarket exhaust!

Check out the SW Retro Chambered Catbacks - I have them on mine. Got them from Apex. Totally satisfied with the sound...

Can't agree any more. I have L99 with SW Retro Chambered Catback .. doesn't sound like the manual but gives you the muscle sound .. I did a muffler delete and its amazing!

I have the SW headers and the quality is excellent, so the catbacks are going to be a great option as well. I went with Magnaflow behind the cats, couldn't be happier!

The Corsa along with the Cold Air Induction should help out a lot. I'd go with the ARH headers and hi flow cats but they require a tune and will void the warranty on a new car.

When there is no gains associated with switching whats behind the cats there is no "bang for the buck" exhaust to be had. So it's all gonna come down to what you want sound wise versus stock.

Borla S is real deep and throaty and it has a lot of bass. It sounds like the old school muscle car. Corsa is really raspy. I hear a lot comments that it sounds like a motorboat when the propeller is half way out of the water. The Borla Atak is the same way. |
