Tired of hearing about people getting screw over by dealers
Just thought I would suggest this. I've read about too many people getting screwed over by their dealers by selling their cars to other people or dealers saying they will honor MSRP but then upping the price upon delivery. It really sickens me to hear that a company that prides itself on customer service allows it's dealers to conduct their business like this. And the population wonders why these companies are filing for bankruptcy.
Anyway, I am hoping to place my order tomorrow and will be going to a dealer that I have heard has great customer service and honors MSRP. Something I have learned in my short life so far is that if someone promises you something that involves large sums of money is to get it in writing. So when I ask the dealer this and if he says they will charge me MSRP, no more, I will ask them put this in writing and have them sign it. I have done my research and am positive that it's legal to do that. In conclusion if your dealer promises you MSRP or anything else, get it in writing so if you get f***ed in the end, so are they. |

Market value is Market value. It's simple really. Market Value is the price people are willing to pay. I don't have a problem with dealers jacking the price up to whatever they want. I have the right to not buy it. When people stop buying them at that price market value CHANGES. It's a dynamic value. It's called a free market. They don't have to sell for a certain price, and you don't have to buy at a certain price.
My only problem are the ones reneging on the deals they agreed to. In writing or not. |

I agree 100% and I do have a written receipt for MSRP. The problem I have heard is that the dealership still owns the car until the title is transferred to you, and until a purchase order is been made out and signed by both parties, then you really don't have a binding agreement. I am probably wrong, but I remember hearing something to this effect. I hope that I am worng so that I can get the Car I was promised!

Don't let it stress you out. These battles have rages since probably donkey and camel salesmen back 1000's of years lol. Just the internet, the recession, the depression man. It all is very interesting times we live in.
