Supercharger help
Hi I've got a 2012 2ss/rs and I want to put a supercharger on my camaro more than I want to breath. I am just having trouble deciding which one is best. I wanted to do the hennessey hpe 650 but after finding out it cost 21000 dollars it does t seem so awesome. So any help and info would be great, and maybe some specs on your guys camaros that have them already! Thanks!

What is your power goal? Auto or MT? The hpe 650 only does about 550whp. You could get that for under $10k in parts even on the auto.

I have the auto unfortunately but I want the absolute most power I can get out of a supercharger. This is not my everyday driver. Just my play car the more power the better

Although the Centri is king of HP, the loss of low end torque compared to the Roots style is significant. OP, do you want instant torque, or do you want to wait for boost?

not a loss just not as much as a gain in the low end...

He did ask what made the most power but I agree with you. Op needs to provide more details. The Centri's can use a wastegate or stall to help with the low end.

On a stock bottom. But does have other supporting mods. I'd recommend contacting Ted from Jannetty Racing. He won't steer you wrong.

A reliable 650rwhp will cost you more than $21,000.
You can't really make power just strapping a S/C on, and if you do you'll never plant it to the ground. Remember, lot of small details people neglect: fuel pumps spark plugs injectors suspension List goes on and on. |

All depends on your setup. If your long term goals are LOTS of power (above 7-800rwhp) then go with a centri. If you want to be a 6-7xxrwhp street king go with a roots. |

Why is everyone hypnotized with needing a suspension. First, the op wants to drive on the street so the stock stuff is fine. Until he makes 1000 rwhp and can't hook the suspension is the last thing you should do. |

Op, since you have the L99 you are very limited on the amount of reliable HP you can make. The lifters are sketchy at best when exceeding 550 rwhp. So you'll need a valve train upgrade after that level. But if you're doing that why not do the full ls3 conversion. And so it starts and never ends. With the L99 550 rwhp with the stock stuff then after that get ready to spend.
