1000HP + FI Guys Check this out!!
It it pretty common for the FI guys that are making 1000hp on a 4 bolt head to have head lifting issues sooner or later. HPS has teamed up with Dafferon Race Innovations and now has a alternative and cost effective solution for keeping your heads down. Pictured below is a customers Aluminum 6.0ltr. with Darton Sleeves that we added the 5th and most crucial head bolt boss to this block. Along with a set of 6 bolt heads or we can even convert the factory heads to use the 5th Bolt that is so crucial for keeping the heads down when exceeding the 1000hp limit.
Stay tuned as we do some testing with this block in the next month!! Chris |

No, no problems just a little too much boost. Just took a little more torque on the bolts. This combo is making insane power and surprised all of us. I was told that Mark Carlyle's vette by IPS has to torque the heads after every pass as it lifts the heads too. I just had one head lift as there were just a couple wet marks so I am still beating the sh%t out it. Where is car, you seem to have vanished?

Nice to see options. I'll stick with all 6 bolts.

There is a big difference in making 12-1400hp then making over 2000hp like carlyl is doing. This is a great option for guys that dont want to spend $2000.00 plus for a Iron LSX Block or even more for the Aluminum race blocks out there. The cost for the added tabs is only $600.00. We will find out what kinda power we can make without issues shortly.
