moved to the SS bolt-on subforum. Now just give me a few minutes to find the links to the threads you'll want to read

Start here: THE Air Intake Thread

and now I'm looking for the JRE independent CAI testing threads

JRE CAI Test Thread Part 1: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48202

JRE CAI Test Thread Part 2 (Results): http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107002

I highly recommend skimming through Part 1 of the JRE threads before jumping to the results in Part 2.

haha - didn't mean it like that OP. A few weeks ago there was a suggestion for a CAI sticky because of all of the "what's the best CAI" threads. Guy was just making a joke is all, no worries.

But anywho - in regards to your question: see post #2

best is a matter of opinion (to a degree).. and my opinion is cold air inductions. runs great, sound good, looks awsome.

There is no "best" it's a matter of opinion and IMO CAI is the "best"

Pick the one that looks best to you. Some like over the radiator like vararam some like enclosed like jacfab some like open like rotofab.

The word "Best" is very subjective....do some research pertaining to acceleration, fit/finish, HP to start with & what your priorities are

Bingo.

There are lots of aftermarket intakes out there, it just depends on what you think would fit your needs. Personally for myself, I trust AFE, I have done on my previous cars, and for all my future ones too.

other than the question of if your car is stock or super/turbo charged its doesnt matter to any large degree.

If your not charged, I would go for looks.....the difference is minimal as far as I can tell on returns. Various places will state we get this amount of HP and others that amount of HP, but unless your charged the difference is relatively minor.

Im referring to the major brands, if they are made out of top grade materials that's all you need to worry about.
