What Percent window tint? HELP - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey i am wanting to tint my windows, the only problem I don't know how dark I want them. I don't really care about the law so ill settle for any percent. I don't want people to see in at all. I was thinking about 25% does that do the job?

20% is a good way to go. I have a small issue with backing up at night with 20% but its not that bad.

Lol I agree 100% I also did 20 I love it but I have the same problem at night glad I'm not the only one lol

I have 30% and constantly wish I had gone darker. But I just had to be "legal" lol

Id did 20% all the way around and also a (sun strip) across the top of the windshield. I paid 200 I believe for everything

if you don't want people to be able to see in at all, you have to go 5%, I had 20% on the sides and 5% on the back window and the 20% could be seen through, I have all 5% now and it is exactly what I wanted from the start.

I had 5% all the way around. Looked really good but couldn't see very well at night. I removed the tint from the side windows and plan to do those with 20%

15% on the sides, 5% on the quarters and rears. 15 is the lightest I have on either car, I like it and don't have issues at night, but I'm used to it.

Just install what is legal in your state because they are all different.

If you get pulled there is a real risk of damage to the back glass if you have to have the tint replaced.

The FM antenna and defrost wires are back there,very fragile and don't like being stressed.

I agree, what is legal, but maybe that is just because I am old enough not to go inviting trouble. :-)

I have 50%, what is legal in VA, and even at that, visibility out the sides/back (when dark outside) is a slight issue.
