4 liter supercharger?
Ok who makes this 4 Liter supercharger? And 3 speed trans?
Back at the 2012 SEMA event in Las Vegas, Chevrolet unveiled the car you see above, a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Convertible. Actually, that's not quite accurate – this car is THE 2012 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Convertible. As in, the only one ever sold. There was one more produced, but it's not leaving the GM Heritage Center any time soon. This one was just sold at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale for $400,000 exactly. That sum will be donated to the American Heart Association, and the winner will take home this Inferno Orange Metallic COPO, complete with a 327-cubic-inch V8 topped by a 4.0-liter supercharger. The engine sends 550 horsepower to the rear drag slicks through a three-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. |

I was told at SEMA that they are making 69 COPO verts and the buyers will be picked in a lottery which I entered while I was there.

ATI Transmission built all of the powerglides for the COPOs, the three speed option would be the TH350 or TH400.

A 4.0 whipple with a 2 3/4 extended snout fits just fine. The blower is made to accept snouts of different lengths that bolt on. You must have gotten bad information somewhere.

I think if it was possible for Jamie to have a 4.0, he would have it by now!

You're mother f#*kin right!!! I spoke with Mike at Whipple today. As of 1/21/13, "we are working on it but have no time table".:( So you know what that means for now...... MORE NITROUS!! Ted already said OK. The car industry blows for making new parts available. |
