Exhaust question..
I know this may be dumb; but what is the difference between a Cat back and a rear section exhaust? R-S is obviously cheapest of the two.

Cat back is exactly what it says... Exhaust that covers everything from the cats back to the mufflers. A rear section is just the mufflers themselves; the stock pipes remain untouched.

Above answer is correct. Bear in mind either one is pretty much strictly for sound. None are considered power adders on a 5th gen.

I went with the Cat-back ,contact Chase @APEX. Quick delivery and the sound is excellent. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

truely it all depends on you, and what you really end up doing with the performance mods on your car. IF you are going to just do some minor things like the exhaust and a CAI, a Axel-Back or as you called it a R-S would be just fine. HOWEVER, if you are the type of person that saves their mods to reinstall them later when you trade in your car, get an cat-back and store they somehere. Fore if you get an R-S (Axel-Back), you cut off the mufflers and replace them, so unless you want to get them rewelded back on at the end, its a done deal.

Like daveagogo1 said above neither is much of a performance mod...more of a sound mod. I went with an axle back and got the sound I wanted, now my 2SS/RS sounds like a muscle car and not a prius!
