It's not a "69" with a 650 double pumper sitting on the intake!

If you change anything in the intake, exhaust, or fuel system, the computer needs to be updated to take that into consideration.

This is what people are referring to as a “tune”, and it is best done “all at once”.

So the smart money says, that you sit down, decide where you want your machine to end up power wise, save your nickels, buy the parts, install or have them installed, tune the car at a speed shop, or by someone that knows what they are doing on YOUR model, and your good to go.

Buying, this, that , and the other thing, to throw at it, will just end up in multiple disappointments.

also if you reduce the back pressure to much you will actually lose torque... I'm would be surprised the mufflers alone would cause this... usually the stock cats will provide enough back pressure..

I wouldn't do it.. You are liable to be in the same situation this guys in.. Yeah it may sound better (arguably) however there are better options that actually give you some horsepower in return besides losing it..

i'm in the same boat.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29204

it sounds WICKED... just seems to have lost some grunt. (and some throttle response)
i REALLY wish i had dynoed before/after... REALLY!
it may have more on the top end but i think it sacrificed low end (low end is better for the street IMHO)

not sure what i'm gonna do... i kept my stockers but i'm gonna enjoy the sound for a while till i see magnaflows axleback numbers.

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

I had the muffler delete done and it's certinaly not slower or sluggish. Sounds great and runs very strong. After the CAI I will get retuned, but mine feels as strong as ever.

You cut out your mufflers, you lost backpressure and you threw off the calibration. The dealer's going to take one look at it and tell you it's your problem now, unless those mufflers cut themselves off.
Why the hell do people start tearing into their cars knowing nothing about what they're doing? I mean, I'm not opposed to it as a learning method, but don't learn on a brand-new car!

I had the dealer do the "muffler delete" this week....I don't take delivery until the 2nd of July. I talked to the Service Manager and he said not only does it sound BETTER but it has better response and launch!

Plus since they did the work, mine is ALL under warranty!!

For the folks having problems, not sure what you had done or by whom....good luck!
