advert/adjustments

How does this work? I searched and I am still confused. I have pricing for a 2013 from my local dealer. It shows the following for invoice:

base price - $34,689.61
Total Options - $4,567.20
Vehicle Subtotal - $ 39,256.81

Advert/adjustments - $1,446.38
Destination Charge - $900
Grand Total - $41,603.19

Isn't the advertising supposed to already be incorporated into the base invoice fee or is this legit? Seems high.

Seems to vary from dealer to dealer.

Most people are getting Supplier Pricing cost (less than MSRP). Ragardless what they have listed, you can negotiate. If they won't bargain, go somewhere else or contact Becky.

Chevrolet charges dealers (that opt in to advertising campaigns) for advertising and some promotions in their areas, and this fee “Advert/adjustments” is likely to be them passing this cost on to their customers. Although a legitimate cost of doing business I do not think they should be charging their customers for it, besides $1,446.38 is outrageously excessive. I personally would insist they remove it if they wanted my business but anything over $250 is excessive and you should not pay it. The destination charge is legit and is part of the price of the vehicle from Chevrolet.
