Door speakers

I currently have JL audio 900/5 amp and a sub in trunk. I'm looking to replace BA door speaker and tweeters.

What would you recommend someone on a $200 budget?

Kevin, you can get a good set of JL's for that price and there easy to install. I got my jl c2 650's for $130 off amazon.

Seriously? I'd love to hear the older/ better Focal then.

I can totally understand if you had said MB Quart, Alpine, Precision Power, HiFonics, Image Dynamics, Boston.......soo many have fallen pretty far from where they once were. But Focal?

Best buy installed Harman Infinity Reference 6502ix front speakers and Harman Infinity Reference 9602ix as rear speakers in my Camaro today and i am very pleased with those and i don't even have a amplifier to help power them. Payed around 230 total for both.

I have Focal KRX2s in my doors. They are awesome but not cheap.

Be aware... Focal are great, but if the price seems too good to be true it may be. i saw an article that there are a lot of knock-off focals out there now. so if its internet buying, buyer beware!!

im a fan of diamond audio. i have been running the same set of their hex line in my other vehicle for about 10 years now. i paired it with the correct size amp and they play like they did from the frist day still!

I'm going with the Alpine pdx V9 5 channel amp. It sends 100 watts to each channel, 500 to sub. What would be the best door speakers for this level of power? Focal, JBL? If I'm gonna spend some cash to upgrade the stock BA's I'd like to have something that sounds substantially better..

Ya I wouldn't run those stock BA's with that amp. Great amp btw I have one also and really like the sound quality. Focal speakers are very good. Getting a set of PS165's put in this weekend. Hertz makes nice speakers also. Are you running a sub? Focals have great mids and highs but are designed to work with a sub unless you go with there integration line. How much are you looking on spending?
