Why no aftermarket Ram Air Hood? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Just curious as to why no one has released or even contimplated manufacturing a aftermarket hood with functional hood scoop like on the 4th gen SS's. I loved that about my SS. Kinda seperated it from the mustangs fake scoop you know. But now I just feel like part of the crowd with this cosmetic mail slot. Anyways thought if maybe enough people chime in someone would produce this. I know SLP made some aftermarket hoods that weren't SS hoods but were still functional ram air for 4th gens.

Hopefully it will come .. the only problem is you would need to get a new front fascia as well to remove the mailslot ..

Wait a little....
SLP has one being developed as we speak. It will be sweet...actually they already have a coupel finished...It was on the ZL575 at the Carlisle Nationals I think.

SLP did not put a new front fascia on their ZL575 btw, they put some kind of body piece over the mail slot that is flush with the body, it is also paint matched, you can see a line around where the mail slot used to be. It's basically a mail slot delete, it would be a pretty nice mod for someone to sell.
