CAI issue

my car runs pretty well.. Has S/Works headers and exhaust and a Yank converter.. well I got my LMR intake kit in and have a weird issue.. this is in no way any problem with LMR, I think it would happen with any kit I put on..

anyway, I installed it and have a pretty bad intake bog feel... I am familiar with this from motorcycles , have never seen it with a car before.. it almost like its restrictive and way too pig rich... but contrary to that, all the tests I see, it leans most out a 1/2 to 1 point in AFR.. my car was about 11.5:1 stock.

Just wondering if anyone else had this happen or seen it yet??

and for anyone that wants to question me about ability, I have a few cars and 10sec. 4th gen etc... that I built and tuned.. Though I have not put the 2010 on a dyno since the second day I had it, so not sure what its really doing.. I put the stock box back on and no issue.

thanks for reading

I have seen this with another CAI on my Camaro. It was simply caused by the placement of the MAF sensor. When that moves significantly from its factory position, it really needs to be tuned to compensate...otherwise it could get very rich very fast.

thanks.. I'll measure the distance and see... I should just tune it out and run speed density.. would solve that..

no I didn't.. heck, I never have had to on any of mine, from cam swaps to headers etc.. all have run better than this did when it was bogging.. I am going to try it again later and see if something was just messed up..
