Exceed set speed limit??

I just picked up my new 2013 1LE and on the drive home (150 miles) I kept getting a warning "exceed set speed limit" when ever I went over 68 MPH. How do I disable this as it's quite annoying.

In your DIC there is a setting that you can simply turn off.

Or.... raise it to a higher MPH. Mine says set on 85. It's really easy to get these beasts up to pretty high MPH without it feeling that fast - especially with interstate cruising.

+11111

This has probably saved me from quite a few tickets. Most of my driving is in town and our cops are prett bad to I have mine set at 47 cause the highest speed limit in our toown is 45. Just change it really quick when I get on the highway

Ok, how do I change/adjust the DIC? I only picked it up today at 4pm and then drove home so I haven't had any time to read the manual. Any help would be great.

You can either disable it or adjust it to a higher speed limit. When I first bought my 2010 SSRS, I set mine at 75 mph and it saved my rear a few times until I got used to the feel of the car. These cars drive so smooth at speed that +90 mph feels as comfortable as legal highway speeds.

After a while you will get the feel of the car and not need it but it did help me for the first couple weeks.

You have to learn to play with your DIC if you ever want anything good to come out of it.

LMFAO!!! Truer words were never said!

However to get it set in the mood you want, you need to program it by talking to it in a firm voice that tells it you are the owner and you won't take any crap from a voice warning NANNIE! First put on a wife-beater t-shirt. Next get a crescent wrench or large ball-pien hammer. Now stroke your DIC (its buttons) until it enters the programming page for the audible speed warning choices. Now just start screaming at it that it's going to do as you say PERIOD! Wave the tools in your hand in a threatening manner and use the word BITCH a lot. Such as "you hear me Bitch"? You better never correct me in front of my friends, BITCH! You may need to do this for hours (if you got the voice based on my wife) when she missed a sale at Nordstroms. But just keep screaming, you'll win in the end. That's it. You'll figure out the rest. Remember they do not cover these details in the manual - no one at GM could use bitch in a threatening manner. You could just read the manual and see what it says but my will make you feel better about it. Good Luck!

Noise mitigation device is standard on Camaro. Look to the right of the steering wheel, below the airvents on the dash and above the shifter

You don't need a technician to adjust your DIC for this problem.

It's in one of the menus my friend. Like the others suggest. Play around with the DIC and get comfortable with it. No seriously.

I have mine set at 80, the rectangular button on the turn signal stalk will get you to that menu then you just scroll through the menus using the rotating ring, when you find the max speed setting push the button on the end of the turn signal stalk, that will allow you to change the setting with the rotating ring, when you get it set just push the rectangular button again to return to the normal DIC functions.
I hope this helps, but you should get your manual out and read it. Lots of good information in there.
