Tall drivers

Just curious, what do you think of the camaro roof clearance (with or without the sunroof)? I'm 6'6'' and fit into a mustang (convertible and hardtop w/o sunroof) but have slight trouble in the camaro.

The car I sat in had no sunroof/moonroof, so do you have any suggestions on alleviating the seat about 1/2 inch? How much would this cost? Thanks.

Also, how do you all see (or if you see, how do you do it well)? I usually drive an SUV but could barely see because the low roof and high hood.

6'4' no problem at all. No sunroof. I like my seat reclined but still have plenty of room with it somewhat upright. The drivers seat will adjust quite a bit and will go pretty low. I think the vision is pretty good. You really sit down low in the Camaro. Some people on here have complained about poor rear vision but I think it is fine. It is a sportscar. After driving my Camaro and then drive my Chrysler Aspen it seams like I am sitting on top of the Aspen when I drive it.

6'4 and I have the sun roof. My seat is slammed to the floor and all the way back. No one can sit behind me, not even a kid. You should be ok eitherway. I like the sunroof, opens up the inside a little more. IMO. Good Luck !

6'3" and long in the torso, my head scuffed the roof with the sunroof (yes seat all the way down all the way back), but I don't like it anyways so I'm not getting it. the sunroof that is, I love the car.

Should also be noted that the Mustang is about an inch higher in the front roof.

Definately pass on the sunroof if you're over 6'3''. The sunroof lowers the roof by 1.5 inches.

I don't like to slam my seat to the floor, I like it up just a little. I'm 6'3'' and I fit just right in my Camaro with the seat slightly raised. But if I had the sunroof, my head would definately touch.

And the passenger side has less headroom than the driver side.

If you're tall, but you have short arms, then you'll have a problem.

6'5", sunroof, no problems. In fact, my son is 6'10" and he fits fine on the passenger side (you'll not find him on the other side )

Check it out, this has been well well covered in these forums. Do a search. There are some good tips for tall people.

6'6" and ALL leg, I need to have the seat all the way down, and have it reclined at a pretty low angle... Allows me to fit easist, look coolest, but most importantly, it givea me th MOST visibility out of any other configuration.

Good luck!

I'm 6'7" and have no issues.

I think the view out of the car is no hinderance to me. Of course, I have alwyas used my mirrors a lot anyway.
