Time to receive an order?

Does anybody know how long it would take to get a car that was specifically ordered? With the range of options that might be available for this car, I want to order the exact one that I want. I know that this might be a unique case due to it being the first production run, the increased demand, and many other factors, but I was trying to get a ballpark figure.

Depends on how long after launch you are talking about. If you order early it could be several months depending on the backlog. If you wait till they catch up, probably late in the year for the coupe a couple of months. If your perfect car is a popular combination it could be pretty quick, like a dealer trade away.

Id say if you order right away...with the back log and a slow (to start with) production line...could take 6 to 8 months...but thats just an educated quess

I purchased a 2006 Hummer H3 when it first came out and special ordered it the way I wanted it. It only took 3-months.

Ya...but the H3 doesn't have the folling the Camaro has...espically since everyone is waiting, and Im sure all the dealerships are cry to have a bunch at launch.

Thanks for the replies. I guess it'll be a little longer for me, because I'm so torn between the auto with paddle shifters or the manual and want to test drive both to be sure. That, and I don't mind waiting that long to see if a higher output engine might be in the works.
