And with those magic words..."6-8 weeks"
I signed on the dotted line this morning. As in the past, it was quite the experience in shopping for a competitive price. I've always found that there's at least one dealer that will work with you. As luck would have it, my first camaro was born out of the same building that I am ordering the ZL1 from.
Its on now! A nervous 6-8 weeks this will be

Thanks. I ordered the zl1 (obviously) in blue ray metallic, with exposed carbon fiber hood insert, bright aluminum wheels, 6 spd manual (to do list: Learn to drive a manual!), and last but not least......Recaro Sport Seats! Short and sweet list; but at that the car was above 60k msrp! I shopped the dealers with those options, and to my surprise my neighborhood Chevy dealer gave me the best bargain.

I'm sure it'll be the same with yours, but my car has enough grunt that you don't even need to give it gas to engage the clutch. As soon as it catches, ease into the gas.
When I was teaching my 15 yr old in an empty parking lot, I had him leave his right foot on the floor and just have him practice finding "that spot" with his left foot where the car would start to move. He'd then let up on the clutch all the way and put his left foot also on the floor. A dozen feet or so later, I'd have him brake and start it all over again. Get that spot perfected and the rest is cake in comparison. If you enjoy being involved in the experience of driving more so than maybe otherwise, you'll never regret your choice.
