Hi all,

I ordered my IOM without stripes. I am picking it up today or tomorrow. I have never had stripes on my previous Camaros, but I am seriously starting to like pictures of IOM with the cyber gray stripes. I have a gray interior and I think I want to add them.

My question for those of you who have stripes is, do you find that you are more of a cop magnet? I think that the Camaro, in IOM, is enough of an eyebrow raiser. BTW, I drive fast, but not excessively. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

The 2010 camaro will be a cop magnet period, especially your color orange and my color yellow. I think the only color less of a magnet would be white, CGM which just looks like plain grey going down the road and maybe black or IMB. But orange, aqua blue, yellow, red they are all gonna attract the cops more. its something you know going in, but I wanted yellow so i ordered yellow.

I was stopped for going 3 mph over the posted speed limited...yes I said 3 mph!

I think the Camaro in general will be a cop magnet!

I've been told by several people that black and red cars give off the illusion that you're traveling faster than you really are. But I agree, the Camaro, in and of itself, may well be a cop magnet.

Thats just BS a know a few local cops and they said they don't stop the car unless its 10 or more over, i always do about 5 to 8 over. If everyone would pay attention we would all get where were going alot faster. Its amazing at how bad some people are but thats a whole different topic. And besides there have been studys done about speed limits being outdated and a group of people did the speed limit on and interstate once and the whole interstate was clogged up.

For the most part, cops in my area won't pull you until you're at least 9 over. With a guess it depends on the area and how bored the cops are.

You got Inferno Orange (a color that SCREAMS "LOOK AT ME", not that there's anything wrong with that!

) and you're wondering if the stripes are going to get the cops on you? My bet is the stripes will make a negligible difference.

Thanks all. Years ago in my 86 SS, I was stopped for going 1 mile over the limit. I was asked to take a sobriety test which I passed. I didn't get a ticket. I guess I just answered my own question.

uhmmmmm. The general rule is that if you aren't doing something wrong you can't get in trouble for it. Just food for thought.

Cops magnet? Who knows but anything that stands out is bound to attract attention and lets face it, it you ordered them you want that attention.

I personally don't like them nor did I like them back in 1970 when I ordered my 70 Chevelle SS454 as I opted not to order the cowl induction because the default stripe color was white for the dark blue color. Lucky to because just the fact it said SS 454 was enough to attract a lot of unwanted attention from the cops.
